Rebecca is a native New Mexican, raised in a small farming and ranching community in Valencia County; this is where she grew up learning about community, land, art, culture, and heritage. She used this throughout her educational career by getting a master's in art education through the University of New Mexico as well as acquiring a master's certificate in Chicana and Chicano Studies Department in fall 2021. You’ll mostly find Rebecca enjoying talking a plants and about Southwest landscapes of the Acequia. She is married and still lives in her farming and ranching community.
